South Goa - Dona Paula beach : a famous beach known for water skiing & other watersports. The beach is named after Dona Paula de Menzes, daughter of a viceroy (in colonial India), who threw herself off the cliff, when refused permission to marry a local fisherman, Gaspar Dias. The myth says that Dona Paula is entombed in the Cabo Chapel of the Raj Bhawan and is supposed to be seen emerging from the moonlit waves wearing only a pearl necklace. The Dona Paula Beach offers an opportunity to the tourists to have a sunbath and buy cheap seaside goods from local vendors.
Proceed to Miramar Beach: a popular meeting place and then to Old Goa Church : which is famous for Saint Frances Xavier’s relics. The trip further proceeds to Shree Mangeshi Temple, a famous temple of Lord Shiva, located near the village of Priol. Continues to Shree Shantadurga Temple, the largest & most popular temple of Goa, dedicated to Shantadurga Manifictation of Parvati or Durga. The day wraps up with visit to Mardol Temple, the Mahalsa temple of Mohini an avtar of Vishnu Deva.
